Volume Lock Terms of Use
Effective and last updated July 14, 2026. These terms cover the Volume Lock Android app and optional Premium subscription.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use apply to the Volume Lock Android app developed and operated by Alexander Aizendorf as an individual developer. By downloading, installing, purchasing through, or using Volume Lock, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. License and restrictions
You may use Volume Lock for personal use on devices where it is installed through an authorized app store. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, extract source code from, translate, or create derivative works from the app, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
Trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to Volume Lock remain the property of their respective owners.
3. Free app and Premium
Volume Lock can be used without a subscription, and its core functionality remains available without Premium. The Free app is supported by advertising. Volume Lock Premium is an optional annual auto-renewing subscription purchased through Google Play. Premium currently removes banner and fullscreen ad requests while verified Premium access is active. Firebase Analytics remains enabled under the applicable privacy and consent rules.
4. Price and billing
Before purchase, Google Play displays the current localized annual price, currency, billing period, applicable taxes, eligibility, and final commercial terms. The terms shown by Google Play control the transaction. Premium renews automatically for another annual period unless it is canceled before renewal.
Price changes follow Google Play's notice, consent, and effective-date procedures. Volume Lock does not promise a specific global price or unspecified future Premium features.
5. Free trial
Google Play may make a seven-day free trial available to an eligible user. Eligibility is determined by Google Play and is not guaranteed. When offered, the trial automatically converts to the paid annual subscription at the localized annual price shown by Google Play unless you cancel before the trial ends.
If Google Play does not return the trial offer or you are not eligible, Volume Lock makes no trial claim and offers the localized annual purchase path directly. Volume Lock remains usable without starting a trial.
6. Management and cancellation
Manage or cancel Premium through Google Play subscriptions. If the specific page is unavailable, use the general Google Play Subscription Center. Uninstalling or clearing Volume Lock data does not cancel a subscription.
An ordinary cancellation stops future renewal. Premium normally remains available until the end of the verified paid period, subject to Google Play state, refund or revocation, and applicable law.
7. Purchase completion, verification, and restore
Google Play is the purchase authority. A Billing response alone does not grant Premium. After Google Play reports a completed purchase, Volume Lock sends the purchase token to its entitlement service. Premium is granted only after server verification succeeds against the Google Play Developer API. A pending purchase is not acknowledged and does not grant Premium.
A signed entitlement credential may preserve bounded offline access. It cannot extend access beyond its limits or the latest verified Google Play state. Restore starts from completed purchases returned for the current Google Play account and performs the same server verification. Volume Lock has no separate app account.
8. Refunds, revocations, and payment issues
You may contact Google Play or Volume Lock support regarding a cancellation or refund. Subscription billing and cancellation are processed through Google Play. All approved refunds are processed through Google Play. Volume Lock does not promise discretionary developer refunds. Where applicable law or a Google support process requires developer action, Volume Lock uses Google Play Console or the Google Play Developer API.
A refund or revocation may end Premium before the originally scheduled expiry. A failed renewal may produce a grace period, account hold, or expiry according to Google's verified subscription state. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies are not excluded.
9. Ads, analytics, and third-party services
Volume Lock uses Google Play services, Google Play Billing, AdMob, Google's User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Cloudflare subscription infrastructure, and related provider services. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply. See the Privacy Policy for details about processing and providers.
10. Device and network responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your device secure and maintaining access to the app and Google Play account used for a purchase. Rooting, jailbreaking, or bypassing operating-system protections may affect security and may cause Volume Lock or purchase verification to work incorrectly.
Some features require an internet connection. Your network provider may charge for data usage or roaming. You are responsible for those charges and for having permission from the bill payer where applicable.
11. Availability and consumer rights
Volume Lock is provided as is to the extent permitted by law. App, device, network, Google Play, or entitlement-service interruptions may occur. The developer works to keep verification, restore, management, and support available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or compatibility with every device and Android version.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights, statutory warranties, liability, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Changes and new sales
Volume Lock may update or change the Free app and may stop new Premium sales. For existing subscribers, Volume Lock will continue to provide Premium's core ad-suppression benefit through the verified paid period unless Google Play reports a refund, revocation, expiry, or other state that ends access. Stopping new sales does not disable verification, restore, subscription management, or support for existing subscribers.
If Volume Lock permanently discontinues Premium or a developer-side failure prevents it from providing the paid benefit, Volume Lock will restore access or provide an appropriate refund through Google Play.
13. Updates and termination
You may need to install app updates to continue using some features. Premium access may be suspended only when reasonably necessary to address verified fraud, chargeback, entitlement abuse, a security threat, a legal requirement, or a material breach of these terms. Any suspension remains subject to existing paid-period obligations, mandatory rights, and Google Play processes.
If the Free app or a Free feature is discontinued, the related rights granted under these terms end as applicable. Existing Premium obligations remain governed by section 12.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the app, Premium service, providers, legal requirements, or operating practices change. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material subscription changes remain subject to Google Play procedures and applicable law.
